Availability Update: Organic 9301 Sudangrass. AS 9301 is now available as certified organic. 9301is a superior gene 6 BMR hybrid sudangrass that has high yield, quality, and quicker dry down than the sorghum sudans. Supply in organic seed is very strong this year.

A note about organic seed: Organic certifiers are pushing customers very hard to use certified organic seed. If, however, supplies are not available in the basic type of genetics desired, untreated seed is acceptable. Organic customers should still try to use some organic seed by the spirit of the rules. For example, is a 102 day variety was desired and a 100 day variety is available in organic, the certifiers expect the grower to try some the 100 day hybrid. We have strong confidence in our entire MC organic hybrid line up. As with all hybrids, OG hybrids must be placed properly. Contact your RC for where they fit best.
