BMR Sorghum-Sudangrass
The Brown Midrib gives more value to this later maturing hybrid. The late maturity concept produces hybrids that are 20-30 days later than conventional sorghum-sudangrass hybrids. This late maturity allows a wider window for
harvest of high quality leaves before boot stage is reached. This later maturing BMR hybrid produces greater
digestibility values and a higher crude protein. Digestibility of this BMR hybrid was 20+% more than a commercial white mid-rib check in trials. This hybrid has a wide range of adaptation because of its excellent drought resistance and yield of quality forage for direct pasture for wet hay.
