Peat inoculant is intended to be applied on the seed. It contains a culture of highly effective, specific strain of rhizobia bacteria that forms a symbiotic relationship with the legume plant, benefiting both the bacteria and the legume. The plant provides the bacteria a place to live and multiply and in return the bacteria convert atmospheric nitrogen into a usable form for the plant.
