Cattle Candy

A non BMR Sorghum Sudangrass typically used for haylage baleage, greenchop, and grazing. Cattle Candy has the perfect combination of sweet stalks and juicy leaves along with fast regrowth and tonnage. Cattle Candy has a long history of excellent yields and foliar disease tolerance.

Managed Grazing: Plan to start managed grazing when the crop reaches minimum of 18-20 inches, with a goal of
completing the paddock ungrazed material reaches 40-48 inches

Harvest Management:
For best quality and yield, cut when height reaches 36-40 inches. Leave 6 inches of stubble when cutting for fastest regrowth. Condition with a crimper at a slight diagonal to speed drying. Wilt to 65-70 % moisture for storage in
bunker and 60-65% for a concrete stave silo, 45-55% for a sealed bottom unloading silo.
